2025 EDITION: FROM FEBRUARY 5 TO JUNE 16, 2025

With the BTT_moves Season, the Balletto Teatro di Torino continues in 2025 its mission of promoting contemporary dance, strengthening its bond with the venues of the Metropolitan City of Turin.
The new Season stands out for its collaborations with established choreographers and for its commitment to fostering both human and artistic relationships. Each event becomes an opportunity for dialogue, encounter, and sharing.

The Season will host leading artists from the Italian and international scene, such as Marco D’Agostin with GLI ANNI (The Years), winner of the UBU Award 2023, performed by Marta Ciappina, herself awarded Best Actress/Performer. The performance will take place in February at Teatro Astra.

The program is further enriched by an event at the Lavanderia a Vapore Theatre in Collegno, marking the return of the young Spanish company LARREAL from the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza “Mariemma” in Madrid. Two works will be presented, signed respectively by Victoria P. Miranda and José Reches. On the same evening, BTT will perform White Pages – A Dedication to Dynamism by Manfredi Perego, already previewed at the 2024 MILANoLTRE Festival.

The 2025 Season also expands thanks to the new projects undertaken by the Company: this year, Fondazione Egri per la Danza, Guitare Actuelle, and BTT are winners of the public call “Torino, che cultura!” with the three-year project IN.CON.TRA.
Within this framework, BTT has chosen to explore the theme of the feminine, in collaboration with CasaBreast, an association born within the Breast Unit of the Cottolengo Hospital in Turin. BTT thus becomes a driving force and promoter of a “Feminine Manifesto of a Body that (Re)EXISTS”, a space intended to investigate processes of knowledge and care in dialogue with the history and biography of bodies. Embracing this theme, on June 16 at Teatro Astra, the Season will present SISTA, an all-female duet by choreographer Simona Bertozzi, performed by Marta Ciappina and Viola Scaglione.
