Antonin Rioche

Choreographer, director, and visual artist. 

Born in Angers in 1994, he currently lives in Paris. After his studies at Ballet Junior in Geneva, he started his freelance career by collaborating with international artists and companies – including Olivier Dubois, Sasha Waltz & Guests, Michael Keegan-Dolan, Theo Clinkard and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.

His first solo work Ohboy!, created during the Eastman Summer Intensive in 2017, marked a milestone in his career. Its adaptation into a short film received numerous awards at international film festivals.

From 2018 to 2024, he was resident artist at Korzo Theater in The Hague (Netherlands), where he created The Others, Finally a Sign of Life, Huidhonger, Glitter, Ohgirl! and We Are Doing Great (produced with the support of Mart Foundation, CCN Créteil, and Orsolina28).

His work is supported by NDT and Holland Dance Festival.

By combining realism and surrealism, he creates immersive experiences that resonate on multiple sensory and emotional levels. His works reflect contemporary culture, merging philosophy and imagination into stories that connect equally with the universal and the intimate.

Rioche is the founder of Funny People, a collaborative platform dedicated to research, creation, education, and performance that he personally curates and directs.
